Jim ‘N Nick’s Post Race Block Party
Food, beverages, live entertainment, participant awards, gear and merchandise. There will not be an awards ceremony, but award winners will be able to pick their overall or age group awards on the stage once the posted results are deemed “official”.
Due to Covid concerns, there will not be any additional BBQ tickets for family members to purchase. If you purchased one previously with your registration from last year, we will still honor that purchase. We know that many participants have concerns about hanging out in a crowded building, so we encourage runners not to bring family members into the post race party. Each participant will receive a bagged meal from Jim ‘n Nick’s inside of Boutwell that can be eaten inside or taken outside to the park to enjoy.
Boutwell will have less than usual tables set up on the floor for dining to avoid crowding, so please be sure to allow others to sit and eat once you’ve finished your meal.
No Awards Ceremony this year due to Covid.
However, overall and age group award winners will be able to pick up their awards on the side of the stage once the posted results are deemed “official.” “Unofficial” results will be preliminarily posted on the windows outside of Boutwell as soon as possible. Inevitably, there will be some errors that need to be corrected before the results can be deemed official. This is usually caused by someone illegally running with someone else’s bib that are in a different age group of gender. Please don’t be that person that holds things up for everyone else.
If you think you’re a contender for an award, please plan to pick up your award before you leave. If that isn’t possible, we’ll be happy to mail your award. Shipping cost is $12. Please contact us at [email protected] If you’re local, the awards will be available at the Homewood Trak Shak store beginning post-race Wednesday and will remain there for two weeks.
