Our race weekend could not take place without the several thousand volunteers that make it possible!

We have a multitude of volunteer positions such as race packet stuffing, packet distribution, water station help along with set up and break down of the course to name a few. The weekend is also a great opportunity for high school students needing community service hours or an organization searching for a group project. There is a job for everyone and we welcome your help. And as a thank you, we’ll give you a complimentary pit crew T-shirt too!

To all the groups who officially sign up and help us, the runners will have a chance to vote for the Most Creative Group Awards. So wear your craziest costumes, make the zaniest signs or organize a cheer/dance routine for the runner’s entertainment. We’ll be watching! The Awards will be presented during our awards ceremony at the post-race party.

Need a sign to support your special runner or any runner for that fact while you’re volunteering on the course? Join us at the expo on Friday or Saturday and we’ll have complimentary materials for you to make a sign. Look for the sign-making station at the front of the stage and let the creative juices flow!

Sound like fun? Then click here and join us as a 2009 volunteer. It's simple.

If you want to volunteer as a group such as a high school club, boy/girl scouts, military or any other service/community group, please contact Kim Gillikin at kim@bhmevents.com.

WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
WE CAN’T RUN THIS RACE WITHOUT YOU
